Grant Opportunities

****** IMPORTANT NOTICE ******
as of January 19, 2023

Unfortunately, we identified a system error this afternoon that caused some unsubmitted applicant information to be lost.  We have decided to extend the deadline for those affected until Monday, January 23rd at 5pm.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to reviewing your application next week.

We do not anticipate any further technical complications, but we encourage you to work on your application in a separate Word document and enter your responses into the system when you are ready to submit your final application.

* Please note this does not impact anyone who has already submitted a complete application.

We will continue our office hours until Monday, January 23rd for any questions or assistance needed.

Thank you for your continuing partnership!

****** IMPORTANT NOTICE ******
as of
January 12, 2023

We have identified a system error in our new grant application software, and this is preventing grant applications from being submitted properly.

In order to fix this, Glendale Connect will be down for maintenance Friday, January 13 at 5PM through Monday, January 16 at Midnight.

If you would like to continue entering your application, you may do so until Friday, January 13 at 5PM. The system will save what you have entered and you may log back in and submit it after Monday, January 16. The grant application will be unavailable over the weekend.

Due to the grant application being unavailable over the weekend, we are extending the application deadline to Thursday, January 19 at 5PM.

We will continue our office hours until Thursday for any questions or assistance needed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please log on to our daily office hours or send us an email at

JANUARY 3, 2023 - JANUARY 17, 2023

The FY 2023-24 grant cycle will be open from January 3, 2023, at 12:00 AM and will close promptly on January 17, 2023, at 11:59 PM.

The Public Services Program recognizes the need to supplement social service programs intended for low-to-moderate-income residents of Glendale. Each year a maximum of 15% of the City’s CDBG Entitlement funding is set aside to fund Public Service Programs that will serve the needs of income-eligible households in the City. There is approximately $360,000 of CDBG Public Services funds available to award this grant cycle. Please note, The City will only accept applications from qualified agencies whose primary mission is to serve low-to-moderate income and vulnerable populations, such as seniors, the disabled, youth aging out of foster care and others. Applications that serve primarily the homeless community will not be accepted as the City has allocated other funds to address these needs.

We will be available M-F from 1pm – 2pm, beginning January 3, 2023 for any questions or support you need while submitting an application. If you would like to ask us a question or have any difficulties submitting an application, please join us on Microsoft Teams at during our office hours.
