EFFECTIVE TUESDAY, MARCH 17, 2020:

Out of an abundance of caution and to support other preventative measures underway, beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020 the City of Glendale is instituting the following closures, suspensions and cancellations:

City Meetings

  • City Council Meeting will be held; the public is encouraged to be viewed through Glendale 11 Online Streaming.
  • Boards and Commission Meetings will be cancelled unless required by law.
  • Community Meetings and Outreach Events in city buildings are temporarily suspended and city staff will not be attending community meetings during this time.

CM Tolmachoff

Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff was elected in November 2014 and began her council term on December 9, 2014. She was appointed Vice Mayor in January of 2018 and served until January 2019. Councilmember Tolmachoff serves as Vice Chair of the First Tier Suburbs Council at National League of Cities. She also serves on the National League of Cities' Information Technology & Communications Committee and on the Glendale Council Business Sub Committee. Councilmember Tolmachoff serves as Glendale’s representative on the Board of Directors for the Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority (RPTA) and Valley Metro Rail. Councilmember Tolmachoff was appointed the Chair for Valley Metro RPTA in June, 2018.

Lauren has been a Realtor® since 2004 following a successful career in banking. She is a Realtor® Champion and a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, past president of Glendale Rotary Club.

Councilmember Tolmachoff and her family have deep roots in Glendale. The first Tolmachoffs arrived in 1911 and helped Glendale grow into a thriving community. She is committed to continue moving Glendale forward by making fiscally responsible decisions and working to improve the lives of the residents and businesses that she serves.
