Glendale Parks & Recreation Master Plan Update

The city of Glendale Public Facilities, Recreation & Special Events Department is beginning the process of updating its Parks & Recreation Master Plan.

Glendale residents and stakeholders are invited to participate by providing feedback, thoughts and ideas about the future of parks and recreation programs and amenities throughout the process.

The updating process will also include incorporating and updating the Thunderbird Conservation Park Master Plan and the Open Space and Trails Master Plan, and address bike and pedestrian goals in the city’s
Envision 2040 General Plan. The Parks and Recreation Master Plan was last updated in 2011.

Glendale, Arizona has contracted with GreenPlay LLC, a parks, recreation and open space consulting firm, who will conduct research and collect information through stakeholder interviews and focus groups, as well as host a public open house to garner a thorough examination of the community’s needs.
