Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
Sahuaro Ranch Park (9802 N 59th Ave)
Manistee Ranch Park (5127 W. Northern Ave)
Saturday, January 18, 2025
9am-12pm

Throughout his life, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. advocated for peace, unity, and service. He was committed to creating change in his community and so are the many volunteers here in Glendale. MLK Day of Service is an annual to the life of Dr. King and also a way to donate vitamin-rich citrus to families in need. In partnership with HandsOn Greater Phoenix and St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, we are looking for over 200 volunteers to help glean fruit. Along with the fresh fruit donation, this project helps to beautify a Glendale landmark, keeping this community perfect for living working and playing! To register to volunteer, please click here.

Citrus Collection! To increase our impact, our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service will be a site for the community to drop off their excess citrus from their property and donate it to the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. Please bring your freshly picked citrus (all varieties) to Sahuaro Ranch Park or Manistee Ranch Park on Saturday, January 18, 2025, between 9am and 12pm. We will have volunteers ready to accept your donations.
