GLENDALE EXPANDS WATER CONSERVATION REBATES

City offers rebates to help residents and businesses save water and money

The city of Glendale needs your help conserving water and is offering financial incentives to city water customers. Are you interested? The city’s conservation and sustainable living team expanded its water efficiency rebate program as of July 1.

The purpose of this rebate program is to encourage community water conservation efforts and water-efficiency upgrades that are proven to save water while stretching our water resources during the current drought. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis from the date and time the completed application is received. You may fill out the application online or in person with a paper application. A complete application means all required information is filled out on the application and that all required documents are attached, signed and dated. All rebates are subject to the availability of funding. For more information, visit www.glendaleaz.com/rebates.

“We are excited to launch this expanded rebate program to help our customers conserve water,” said Glendale’s Administrator of Environmental Programs Joanne Toms. “Glendale cares about the water we share as shown by the City Council’s support for the expansion of the rebate program. This cost-share program demonstrates the city’s long-term commitment to protecting our precious water resources.”

Beginning this year, single-family residential homes can save money on landscape conversion, landscape irrigation technology, WaterSense toilets, ENERGY STAR clothes washers and pool or spa removals.

Multi-Family homes, homeowner associations and commercial and school properties that receive water service from the city of Glendale are eligible too. These rebates are available for landscape conversion, WaterSense toilets and for water-efficient cooling tower technology.
