Small business grant program underway in West Valley
The Glendale City Council has approved $300,000 of CARES Acts funding for small business assistance. Applications are currently being requested from area nonprofits and agencies interested in administering the grant program. These funds are eligible to be used for small business expenses incurred after March 1, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The city of Glendale received this funding through the CARES Act in response to the pandemic and will make it available to businesses experiencing funding needs related to recent closures.
Glendale City Council continues to make supporting the community’s small businesses, who are dramatically impacted by these unprecedented times, a priority. This funding is one more tool to support those that have been impacted by the economic disruption.
All interested agencies must submit their application by 5 p.m. September 1, 2020. All applications for funding will be reviewed and scored based on the criteria established in the application packet.
Application packets can be found online at: www.glendaleaz.com/grants.
