Lynn Brown Selected As Glendale’s Court Administrator
New Deputy Administrator also joins Glendale team
The city of Glendale is pleased to share that Lynn Brown has been appointed as Glendale’s Court Administrator. Brown brings more than 15 years of experience in court operations and has served as the lead on critical court projects like implementing a new case management system for the Arizona Judicial Automated Case System and designing and implementing an automated electronic parking violation process.
“Our city’s court administrator plays an important role in keeping the courthouse doors open for business by working closely with court judges, attorneys and members of our community,” said Kevin Phelps, Glendale’s city manager. “We are happy to be bringing someone so experienced on board as we continue to build on our efforts to provide justice for all through our court system.”
In this role, Brown will lead all non-judicial operations for the court, including case flow, records management and budget administration. Additionally, Brown will oversee all court staff, work closely with Presiding City Judge Nicholas DiPiazza and will be responsible for developing policies and procedures to support court operations.
“The court administrator is a key role in ensuring compliance with state laws and consistency within the court,” said Judge DiPiazza. “Lynn’s wealth of knowledge and demonstrated leadership makes her the ideal person for this position.”
"I'm honored to be joining the city of Glendale as the new Court Administrator and I am excited to be given the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated team committed to fulfilling the mission of the court in providing fair and impartial access to Justice for the community we serve," said Brown.
Brown holds Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Administration from Arizona State University and is a certified court executive by the National Center for State Courts Institute for Court Management.
Brown’s first day as Glendale’s Court Administrator was Monday, September 11.
Joining Brown is Amber Heller, appointed as Deputy Court Administrator. Heller has served in all three areas of court operations, including court clerk, senior court clerk and recently 4 years as Glendale’s court management assistant.
