Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers and the Mayor’s Military Mission — often referred to as “Triple M” — in partnership with local businesses and community organizations, hosted the 2025 Military Induction Ceremony. The ceremony took place on Thursday, May 8 at Desert Diamond Arena, in the Westgate Entertainment District.
The Military Induction Ceremony hosted by the Glendale Mayor started back in 2017. The ceremony was emceed by Mr. John Crow, as inductees participated in the ceremonial swearing-in and presented with a stole, their first challenge coin and a Certificate of Appreciation.
The keynote address during the ceremony was delivered by Vice Admiral Yancy Lindsey, U.S. Navy (Retired) who but last served as a commander in the Navy Installations Command. Before that, he was the commander of the Navy Region Europe, Africa, and Central America.
