Housing Choice Voucher FAQ

What is a Housing Choice Voucher?

Housing Choice Vouchers and Project-Based Vouchers help low-income families and individuals find safe and affordable homes in Glendale. With a voucher, families pay part of their income for rent and utilities, making housing easier to afford.

Who Can Apply?

To apply for a Housing Choice Voucher, you must meet these requirements set by the City of Glendale Housing Authority (GHA):

  • Income: Your total income must be within the limits set by the GHA.
  • Citizenship: You must be a U.S. citizen or have eligible immigration status.
  • Background Check: Everyone in your household who is 16 or older must pass a background check.

The City of Glendale Housing Authority treats everyone fairly. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, family status, or national origin. We are committed to equal housing opportunities for all.
