Community Survey

At the city of Glendale, our mission is to improve the lives of the people we serve every day. Resident opinions matter and are very valuable in helping guide our city strategic planning.  To help us understand resident priorities, the city used Polco to administer the National Community Survey (NCS) which provides the city with a baseline picture of livability and resident perspectives about the city’s services, policies, and management.  The NCS gives the city benchmark comparisons between Glendale and other communities that have taken the same survey and responded to identical questions.  Through this benchmarking process, the city can assess its performance in relation to both the entire country and the southwest region. The city intends to conduct the resident survey every other year.  In the alternating years, we plan to do mini surveys addressing areas identified in the resident survey and/or other specific topics.  This will enable us to benchmark our progress and see how resident priorities evolve over time.”
