City Court  

For the safety of Court staff and public, persons entering the courthouse will have no contact temperature scans performed and must wear their own masks or face coverings. Only persons with Court Cases will be allowed entry.  Anyone without a scheduled court date, click here to review the walk-in calendar. The Court is closed between 12 PM and 1 PM. The Court  closes at 4:45 PM.                                                                                                                                                   

Due to the COVID-9 Public Health Emergency access to the Glendale City Court is limited to litigants, attorneys,  witnesses and victims for cases scheduled today. Due to concern for the spread of COVID - 19 in the general population, the Governor of the State of Arizona has declared a statewide emergency pursuant to A.R.S. §26-303 and in accordance with A.R.S. §26-301(15). Although Arizona's Courts remain open for business, the Supreme Court of the State of Arizona has filed an Administrative Order in the matter of "AUTHORIZING LIMITATION OF COURT OPERATIONS DURING A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY AND TRASITION TO RESUMPTION OF CERTAIN OPERATIONS" filed on November 18th, 2020.  -  Administrative Order No. 2020 - 177

Therefor, pursuant to Administrative Order No. 2020 - 177, It is directed that the "Arizona Courts Health Screening Protocols for Judicial and Court Personnel" and "Arizona Courts Health Screening Protocols for the Public" attached to this Directive are hereby approved and provided to judicial leadership to be used to detect COVID-19-related symptoms consistent with recommendations by public health officials to prevent the spread of this virus, effective June 1, 2020, updated August 10, 2020 - Administrative Directive No. 2020 - 17

In addition to Administrative Order No. 2020 - 143, and to avoid as many as possible all in-person proceedings in the Glendale City Court to the greatest extent possible consistent with core constitutional rights. Presiding Judge Finn has issued -  Administrative Order No. 2020 - 021. 

Per Administrative Order 2019-002 that went into effect February 1, 2019, persons are not permitted to use electronic devices to photograph, record or broadcast anything occurring in the courtroom or courthouse without prior permission of the Court. A violation of this rule may be subject to contempt or cited for criminal charges. -Administrative Order 2019-002Rule 122.1, Rules of the Supreme Court of AZ.

X-Ray Machine

The Glendale City Court has full-time security personnel
who are stationed at the main entrance to the court.

Everyone who visits the court must pass through a metal detector and must place all personal belongings through an X-ray machine to be viewed. In addition, personal belongings and person may be subject to a search. - Administrative Order No. 2017 - 15, Administrative Order by Supreme Court of AZ.
