Water Rebates

Water Conservation rebates are a financial incentive, where the cost is partially offset by the city of Glendale for its water customers. The purpose of the rebate program is to encourage community water conservation efforts and water-efficiency upgrades that are proven to save water. Full program eligibility and requirements and the online application are available at www.glendaleaz.com/rebates.

This rebate offers a cost-share for water-efficient landscape irrigation technology at single-family residential properties.

The maximum rebate amount is $750 for a combination of the following water-efficient irrigation technologies:

The area can be replaced with decomposed granite, pavers, building structures, Xeriscape, or artificial grass. However, the rebate will only apply to the removal of the pool or spa, not to the installation of Xeriscape or artificial grass. The area cannot be replaced with other water-intensive features or grass.

A complete list of eligible ENERGY STAR products can be found on the ENERGY STAR Product Finder.

Water-Efficient Cooling Tower Technology

Commercial and school properties can apply for a rebate of up to $1,000 for the installation of water-efficient technology at existing cooling towers. The cooling tower technology covers technology costs and water monitoring software start-up costs (installation, wiring & other parts, subscription costs, tax, shipping, etc. are excluded).

Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis from the date and time the completed application is received. The applicant must be the owner of the property or have written permission from the owner, and a city of Glendale water utility customer in good standing (i.e., no outstanding debt owed to the city).
