Hotel Saguaro Puppet Shows

Did you know that the Sonoran Desert is the most ecologically diverse desert in the world? Home to many unique animals and plants, including the magnificent saguaro cactus. The Great Arizona Puppet Theater will present a free puppet show titled “Hotel Saguaro”, which is sponsored by the city of Glendale Water Services Department – Conservation and Sustainable Living Division.

The show features Sammy Saguaro, his wise grandpa and the desert animals that call the saguaro home. Sammy is a young saguaro who doesn’t know if he wants to be a cactus. His grandpa teaches him how important the saguaro cactus is to the desert.

An entertaining and educational post-show discussion will follow. We invite you to join us and learn more about the importance of the saguaro cactus in the Sonoran Desert.

Shows are on a first-come, first-served basis. The show is recommended for kindergarten through third grade, families and tourists. This show is not meant for preschool groups.
