VolunteersMLK Day of Service

9 a.m.-12 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2020
Throughout his life, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. advocated peace, unity and service and was committed to creating change in his community. In partnership with HandsOn Greater Phoenix, over 150 volunteers will be creating change in our community by volunteering at this event. Volunteers are needed to pick citrus at Sahuaro Ranch Park Historic Area for use in food boxes by the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. This vitamin-rich resource will be distributed to families in need. Click here to register.




Volunteer with bagsGlendale’s 14th Serve Day

8-11 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020
Several hundred volunteers from various organizations, schools, and non-profits will again complete several community projects throughout Glendale. Projects include such activities as gleaning fruit, nature trail cleanup, neighborhood beautification and much more. Participating is an opportunity to give back to the community and help those in need. For the city, Serve Day is an opportunity to address projects that would not be possible without volunteer support. Click here to register.

Glendale Honors City Volunteers

The 24th Annual City of Glendale Volunteer Appreciation event was held on April 18, 2019.  The "We Hit the Jackpot with Volunteers Like You" event recognized the many volunteers that contribute to the City of Glendale through the year.

2018 Update

In 2018, the Community volunteer Program had 3,589 volunteers complete more than 200 projects or events within Glendale.  That adds up to 8,315 hours of service for a total value of $203,800.  Projects included rose bush pruning, citrus gleaning, park or street cleanups and many more.  The efforts of the volunteers help to improve and beautify the streets, parks and amenities for resident and visitors.
