Glendale’s must-see finale to its annual holiday light display also ushers in a new year, as Glendale Glitter & Glow welcomes visitors to Glendale Saturday, Jan. 11, 4-10 p.m. Mark your calendar now to attend one of the most popular events across the Valley!

Take in the stunning 1.6 million LED lights, along with colorful hot air balloons glowing throughout several blocks of Historic Downtown Glendale. A highlight for visitors will be mass glows, in which the balloon pilots will fire the balloons all at once to create an illuminating spectacle.

Along with dazzling lights and glowing balloons, music is a big highlight of the event, and a variety of bands will be performing throughout the downtown area, including: Randy Altergott (country and rock); Soul Power Band (Motown and R&B); People Who Could Fly (cover band, top hits); Pearl Ridge Duo (cover band, variety) Sophie Dorsten (indie folk); Blaine Long and Rosas Del Rey (bluesy rock and reggae); as well as DJ Dangerous spinning hit music all evening long. In addition, several community groups will be performing on the E. Lowell Rogers Amphitheatre stage in Murphy Park.

Admission is free! Hop on the free shuttle from Glendale Community College, at 59th and Olive avenues, which picks up from the northeast parking lots, off 59th Avenue. There is limited free street parking in and around the downtown, but event attendees will have the option of paying for preferred parking in the two downtown garages, both accessible from 59th Avenue.
